Flavour Profile

Tasting Notes…

Made from only the finest individually hand-harvested grapes, Te Mata Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of 86% Sauvignon blanc, 9% Semillon, and 5% Sauvignon Gris. This flavoursome wine is a bright lemon gold colour with aromas of limes, pears and white flowers. Fresh flavours of ripe nectarine, passionfruit, guava and dill extend across a complex, full palate to a long opulent finish

Te Mata’s premium wines are bottled with leading technology corks. These are produced using liquid carbon dioxide which eliminates any possibility of cork taint and, when the wine is well cellared, they provide consistent evolution for every bottle.

The Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc will continue to evolve in the bottle until at least 2014

Our Alternative Wines

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc

Tasting Notes…

There is no doubt that this beautifully balanced and aromatic wine lives up to its reputation with an intensely flavoured, distinctive varietal character.

An ideal alternative for Sancerre and Pouilly FumÌ© fans, this wine gives a little more in bouquet and palate. The pale, straw-coloured Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc glints with green, and is enticingly fragrant with lifted elderflower notes, tropical aromas of ripe peach, passion fruit, mango and citrus with hints of fennel and a touch of Pastis. The palate is ripe, fine and succulent, offering zesty ripe citrus flavours coupled with an edge of minerality and sweet herbs. A small barrel ferment component gives balancing flesh to the wine‰Ûªs crisp refreshing acidity

We say…

A classic wine from an outstanding producer

Domaine Joelle Vrignaud Organic Chablis

Tasting Notes…

A family run vineyard since 1955, for the past 20 years, Guillaume Vrignaud has been cultivating his 19 hectare vineyards with only mineral substances and natural fauna, which has led to his Chablis being certified as organic from 2013. About a third of his vineyards sit in Premier or Grand Gru regions. The winery has regularly produced wines classed as outstanding by wine guru, Robert Parker. Total production runs to 12,500 cases. Domaine Joelle Vrignaud Chablis was certified Organic by Ecocert for the 2013 Vintage. All wines undergo a malolactic fermentation which means the wines have greater complexity and roundness on the palate. A truly wonderful Chablis.
