Templar Wines is a wine merchant and importer based in Poole, Dorset. Templar Wines wholesale can deliver wines directly to your business or restaurant. We supply wines especially produced for the on-trade to hotels, pubs, restaurants and wine bars. We deliver everyday with no minimum drop in Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Blandford. We also deliver to businesses all over the UK including the Isle of Wight, though a minimum delivery would normally apply.

Our Wines
Whilst service and a local presence is key, it is our wines of which we are most proud. We have our favourite ranges of wine such as Goyenechea, the oldest independent family wine producers in Argentina. They produce a stunning range of wines including great Malbecs and a pineapply fresh unoaked Chardonnay. We pronounce it “Guy in a chair” so immediately you get a passable pronounciation and assume the correct position for drinking! At the premium end we sell the Terrazas Reserva range, courtesy of Moet Hennessy. From Chile we sell the “Las Condes” range of wines from Central Valley . This fruit driven range of wines are great value for money and offer a complexity unmatched in their price range. From Spain we are the new UK importer for Bodegas Fos Rioja. These super premium wines from Rioja Alavesa are stylish, elegant and offer supreme quality. We stock the range of Solar Viejo Riojas. This includes the light and fruity Cosecha , a Crianza, and a superbly integrated Reserva. We import the IWC commended La Di Motte Pinot Grigio from Piave in Italy. La Vigna Chianti is a beautifully soft and fruity wine which won silver medals at both the IWC and Decanter in 2007. We are delighted with the Montecelli range of wines from Italy. These wines, such as Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Valpolicella and Montepulciano offer great quality at affordable prices. Fashionable Proseccos such as “il Prosecco” rosé and blanco from the best producing area Valdobbiadene. Fun and with feminine appeal these are a must for any happening wine bar. On the sparkling theme we offer the World renowned Segura Viudus Reserva Heredad, widely regarded as the World’s best Cava and certainly the prettiest in it’s hand crafted pewter and glass bottle.
When we saw the Beach House Sauvignon Semillon, we just had to sell it. If you are within a sniff of the sea air, this contemporary, refreshing, zingy wine is perfect and makes a fine accompaniment for any seafood or salad dish. Our South African importers extended the range to include a Pinotage Rosé and a GSM Red early in 2011. Our South African range is supplemented by the great fun wines of Tall Horse (The winemaker, Jaco, pronounces it “Dollars”!) and from the gourmet district of Franschhoek, Franschhoek Cellar.
When considering France, we were overjoyed to discover the Vignoble du Sud range. This range of varietal Vin de Pays from Languedoc really deliver quality at a great price, providing great backbone to any wine list. Our Beaujolais range by Henry Fessy, includes also a Morgon, Brouilly and Fleurie are all suitable for Vegetarians. And our superb award winning Chateauneuf du Papes by Maison Bouachon are all suitable for Vegans, as are their Côtes du Rhones and Gigondas. Our Chablis’ are from one of the most widely acclaimed houses, J. Moreau et Fils. Regarding Bordeaux, we custom source these wines especially for your wine list, to ensure you have some exclusivity and personal input to your top end wine lists.
New for 2010 our New Zealand wines now include an extremely fashionable Pinot Gris and a Pinot Noir from Opawa. Sauvignon Blancs include the herbaceous Fernleaf and a great value Marlborough called Southern Lights. We always have Cloudy Bay wines in stock.
In 2009 we came across the Berton Vineyard in Barossa. They now supply us with Puzzle Ridge Shiraz and a lightly oaked Chardonnay. A sparkling Puzzle Ridge Chardonnay for celebrations and for a special treat we recommend their super complex Berton Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. As Barossa is so popular we now stock Earthworks Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and for Margaret River fans, we sell the full ranges of Cape Mentelle and Vas Felix.
Regarding Champagne we import Baron Albert Brut, Rose and Vintage and distribute Dom Perignon, Krug, Veuve Cliquot, Ruinart, Laurent Perrier Rose, Mercier and Louis Dornier. We stock most sizes of Moet et Chandon, Veuve Cliquot and Piper Heidsieck up to Nebuchadnezzar.

Obviously we’d like to sell wine to everybody. Our free of charge delivery area is in the map below. If you are outside the area below we can courier wine to you, though there would be a minimum drop for free delivery. Drop us a line on info@templarwines.com.
